"Ode on a gas grill"

Thou still unravished bride of deliciousness,
Thou foster child of joy and good time,
R2D2 version 2007, who canst thus cook
A zucchini more sweetly than our oven:

What olive oil soaked taste haunts about thy shape now
Of vegetables or meat, or of both,
In Bushwick or the dales of Gramercy?
What men or gods took you? Why the urge to grill

?
What mad hunger? What struggle to party?
What music and hipsters? Why the need to steal?

When old oven shall this generation waste,
Thou shalt remain, in midst of another rooftop
Than ours, a friend to bohemian, to whom thou say'st,
“food is truth, truth food,” – that is all
Ye know in brooklyn, and all ye need to know.

(a rework of Ode on a Grecian Urn by John Keats, after our grill was stolen from our rooftop)

where is Anca going?

so we go to APT one night. to see some person dj’ing. Anca goes out to smoke, she doesn’t come back and I find her at the back porch talking to some designer couple. Later on she decides to go and touch the wall. She had a desire to do that for a long time, and finally she did it.

touch the wall

light cycle

the light cycle event was a total chaos last night. we met at 81st st west. it started raining as we got out of the subway.

As we entered the park we started hearing the sounds of the fireworks but we couldnt see anything because of the trees. imagine a crazy crowd , around 100 people running in every direction in the forest while its pouring heavily and there are sounds and reflections of explosions everywhere. I was about to trip out.

anyway we managed to find the Great Lawn where we caught a few minor blazes but nothing spectacular. i’m not sure if the event is postponed or if we missed the good part as we were running unconsciously. it sucked.

the event wasn’t postponed and we didn’t miss -a good part- . it really sucked. however i’d go again. look at this one from last year
